June 2012 Samples Review

Posted on 17 June 2012

May and June have been great months for freebies and throughout this period we’ve seen some excellent product samples come and go. It just goes to show that with little effort, quality products can be obtained free of charge and put to good use. The best freebies never last long so be sure to visit regularly to stay updated with our listings.

Perhaps the most popular freebie in the past few months was Garnier’s 7 Day Challenge, a pack containing seven sachets of 7 Days Intensive skin moisturising lotion. As advertised on television by Davina McCall, the promotion ran for a number of weeks and generated a high level of interest (thanks in no small part to the TV advertisements, plus dozens of websites and forums listing the promotion). Approximately 200,000 packs were distributed.

Clipper, producers of Fairtrade tea and coffee, distribute samples numerous times a year and in May visitors received another opportunity to request ten bags of tea or coffee. Colgate also followed up on a previous promotion and ran another Sensitive Pro Relief freebie campaign. Visitors received a 22ml sample of toothpaste - just the thing for taking on holiday.

Around this time and as previously mentioned on our blog, Thierry Mugler also distributed samples of their latest female fragrance, “Womanity”. Other notable freebies received included a sachet of foundation from UNE and also Dizolve non-bio concentrated washing sheets.

More great freebies are available at the time of writing, including Breathe Right nasal strips, a new Garnier UltraLift trial pack, Yorkshire Tea, and more. Stay tuned as we’ll post another update shortly when samples begin to arrive.
