Tired of Outlook? Try this for size!

If you are one of the many users of Microsoft Outlook, it might be worth investigating a new, up-and-coming program called eM Client. This free download is aimed at home and student users who wish to break away from Outlook’s sluggish, cumbersome behaviour, whilst saving cash in the process.
But this needn’t mean sacrificing on features. eM Client includes support for e-mail, calendar, tasks and also has an extensive contact manager, with its address book and integrated instant messaging.
Users have the ability to syncronise tasks and contacts with a variety of popular providers, including Jabber, MSN, ICQ, Skype, Hotmail, etc.
The calendar and task manager is often the reason many organisations select Outlook over a cheaper or freeware provider. Despite its many merits, software such as Thunderbird lacks adequate task management features, making eM Client even more unique. A full range of colour coding options are available, along with views for the day, week, month and year. In fact, you will hardly miss Outlook at all!
And if you have been using Outlook for what seems like an eternity and have all your contacts and messages already stored, fear not. eM Client’s import engine will do all the hard work, and even import your social networking contacts should the need arise.
Home and student users are limited to two free accounts – a minor drawback but nothing to be sniffed at. In any case, corporate use is charged at $29.95 per PC, so this is still a massive saving if you decline to pay commercial fees for the Office suite.
Give it a go; you have nothing to lose!
