Welcome to our annual Christmas Freebies category. This year we've got some fantastic new Christmas freebies lined up, including MP3s, downloads, graphics, games, competitions, wallpaper, clipart, fonts and tons of other great free stuff. Now is the time to decorate your computer desktop with some festive wallpaper, or upload a Christmas ring tone to your mobile phone. Free Comedy Sheep Christmas MP3s - Back by popular demand, these entertaining Christmas MP3 downloads, courtesy of Cumbria Tourism, gained international publicity a year ago thanks to the quirky and talanted lead-singer, "Baarmy Sheep". Two Christmas-themed songs are featured here: the Christmas Megamix and Jingle Bells. This MP3 download can also be used as a festive mobile phone ring tone. In fact, it is the "must have" fashion accessory this Christmas!

Free Christmas Fonts and Clipart - If you're creating a publication, Web page or card this Christmas, you'll want to decorate it with festive images and appropriate fonts. This site offers free Christmas fonts and clipart images, including candles, bells, candy canes, snowmen, sleighs, stockings, trees, etc. They provide approximately 20 different freeware Christmas fonts, all ready to download in .zip files.
Free Christmas MIDI Files - It's difficult to find good MIDI sites on the Net nowadays, particularly as other sound-formats such as MP3 are getting easier to acquire. With this in mind, FreebieList.com has took great care to find a quality collection, and here it is! Lockergnome.com (provider of some interesting tech-email newsletters) has Jingle Bells, Silent Night and many more.
Free Santa Letters Online - This bright and colourful site is a great addition to FreebieList.com, particularly in this festive season. SantaClausLettersOnline.com allows you to create an online Christmas letter from Santa Claus, which you can use to "revitalise your child's belief" in the bearded, gift-bearing man. At this site, there are a number of letter templates available to use.
Freeloader Christmas Games - Our friends at Freeloader are offering some of the finest free Christmas games around. You'll find a small but entertaining collection of online games here, including "Speedy Santa" (downhill skiing), "Elf Zapper" (a magical elf game), and "Polar Bear Parking". Freeloader.com also includes various other games, both online and to download, so be sure to check out those as well.
Free Christmas E-cards - This site serves up a varied selection of free Christmas-themed digital greeting cards, the majority of which are animated and based on Macromedia Flash (so you'll require the Macromedia Flash plug-in to view these). Preview pictures of each card are provided, so you can get the feel of how they look before you send them to your friends and family. Your own personal message can be added to the card, along with a background sound of your choice.
YuleLoveIt.com Christmas Files - The appropriately named "YuleLoveIt.com" not only provides free graphics, bars, buttons, backgrounds and animated gifs, it also offers free MIDI files to download and festive MySpace enhancements. The site is a non-profit Web page, so if you find any of their offerings particularly useful, you may give them an optional donation. At YuleLoveIt.com, you'll also find some links to other sites.
Fonts & Things Christmas Fonts - Provides a small but high quality collection of free Christmas fonts, including "Frozen", "Christmas Card", "Christmas Lights", "Festival Nights", "Ornamental" and more. All are ideal for use when creating Christmas cards and letters, or for sprucing up your own personal Web pages. The fonts included at this site are freeware and available in .zip files.
Caroling Corner - Open this page and you'll be greeted with a short rendition of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", but there are many more Christmas songs and carols here. For example, you can view the entire lyrics to Away In A Manger, Holly And The Ivy, Once In Royal David's City, O Come All Ye Faithful, amongst many others. To read them, just select the carol with your mouse.
Christmas Holiday Village - If you're planning on adding your own personal touch to Christmas by creating your own cards, be sure to check out this site for some free clipart images. Holiday Village contains a small but interesting collection of Christmas images, including snowmen, Santa Claus, and also traditional imagery, such as the "Away In A Manger" scene or images of stars and biblical scenes.
Online Christmas Games - A fantastic festive Web site, full of free games to play online. FreeChristmasGames.com offers around ten "slider" type games to play through your Web browser, including the Slider Puzzle and Memory Puzzle Game. Although they're not full of action, they do require some thought. Instructions are available with each game. Requires JavaScript enabled.
Free Christmas Animated Gifs - At this site, you'll find a selection of free animated Christmas GIF files on six pages. Christmas stockings, candles, trees, chimneys and nativity scenes are all featured here, along with a plethora of animated images that are not specifically Christmas-related but still great for sprucing up your Web site's pages.
Free Christmas Screensavers - One of the best quality collections of Christmas screensavers on the Internet. The "Free Christmas Screen Savers" site is fast loading and offers information such as file sizes, the author of the screensaver and operating system platform they run on. Be sure to view their second page of listings, there is a small link at the footer of the page which will take you there.
Santa Land - This site claims to be the first Christmas Web site on the Internet and offers a fantastic free Christmas clipart round-up, together with Christmas carol lyrics, recipes, stories and details on how to make your own Christmas ornaments. Additionally, at this site, you will find a "kids corner", where children can play online games and participate in activities.
"Sint Nicolaas" Game - This game has got a rather unusual title, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a very addictive piece of software. For the PC, the game is concentrated on a Dutch tradition called "Sinterklaas". Each year "Sint Nicolass" comes all the way from Spain to Holland and delivers presents to children. The object of the game is to deliver presents to each house.
Free Printable Christmas Gift Tags - If you want to skimp on buying Christmas gift tags this year, this site has eight free printable ones to choose from. The tags you'll find here are also in black and white, so you can colour them in yourself. Printing these tags is simple as well, since they all appear on one single page. One the site loads up, just press the "print" button on your browser.
Free Christmas Fonts - The few fonts that are on offer here are worth downloading if you're planning on creating a Christmas card or something similar. Free Christmas Ring Tones - At Mr. Tones, you can enter into the mood of the festive season by getting your hands on free Christmas ring tones for your mobile phone. The free tones available here are in the key-press format, although for a small fee, you can have them sent directly to your phone. Nokia, Siemens, Ericsson, Motorola and Panasonic phones are compatible with this service.
Free Christmas Sheet Music - This site serves up a selection of free Christmas music sheets for various carols, including Once in Royal David's City, Away in a Manger, Good King Wenceslas, Silent Night, We Three Kings, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, etc. Along with this, they also include a rating of how difficult each carol is to play and the most suitable instruments to use.
Free Christmas Carol Lyrics - This very simple, but information-packed Web site does nothing more than feature a list of the most popular Christmas carols, along with their lyrics. To access the lyrics, just click on a carol of your choice. Some of those featured are: Frosty and Snowman, Let It Snow!, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Silver Bells, The Twelve Days of Christmas, Winter Wonderland.
Free Christmas Recipes - This rather colourful site is home to great free Christmas recipes, meal ideas and cooking advice. You'll find directions to help you make hundreds of festive dishes such as appetisers, casseroles, desserts, main dishes, side dishes and even things for vegetarians. The site is organised into a directory, so you can easily search for what you want.
Kate.net Christmas Page - A well-made page and popular site, serving up all sorts of free Christmas goodies, namely computer wallpaper, screen savers and printable "Christmas" gift tags. Here, you'll also find links to other Christmas-themed Web sites, so once you've finished browsing at Kate.net, there are plenty of other places to explore.
