It is worth noting that although MIDIs and WAVs are not as popular as they once were with the arrival of MP3, many are still available on the Internet. Famous speeches, snippets of audio and simple tunes are all ready for download.
MP3s are fast becoming the most popular sound file. In fact, by the time you read this, they will probably have become the most talked about, shared and most downloaded audio file on the Internet. MP3s are very large and will not fit onto a floppy disk unlike MIDIs or WAVs. MP3s have CD quality sound and to play them, you'll need a program such as Winamp, (see our software section for audio apps).
