A quality, free and easy-to-use online photo editing service. Pixlr can handle the majority of basic tasks directly from a Web browser, so you needn't download software to edit images. Users can adjust, filter, crop and perform many other tasks in a familiar (albeit online) Photoshop-esque environment. This service is particularly useful for editing images ready to be used on the Web. A variety of interface languages are available. Note: the site is in "beta" but we encountered no major problems during testing.
Zamzar
This largely unique service allows users to convert various file types online, without the need to download any special software. If you need to convert image, video, audio, document or other files (i.e. JPG to PNG or WMV to MP3), this site can handle it. The maximum file size on their free version is 100MB, which includes 5 concurrent conversions. Note: this site loads a small pop-up window (to enable the owners to pay for such a solid - and free - conversion service). You can remove the ads for a small monthly fee.
