Humyo - A neat free online storage service, offering 10GB of free Web space. humyo.com allows you to store and backup your files online, which means any files you upload are accessible from any computer with an Internet connection. What's more, you can synchronise the files, so changes you make on one computer are replicated on another. Ditch the USB drive, use this instead!
21Publish - This site enables you to set up a multi blog/multi user blogging platform with no technical expertise necessary. 21Publish not only allows users to create a community blog site, it also allows members themselves to establish mini blogs themselves. The "free" version has a limit of 100 users with 2MB of space for each account. You may use an existing domain name, or opt for a 21Publish sub-domain instead.
MySite - Offers free Web space and also commercial hosting packages, should you feel the need to upgrade. MySite's free package includes 50MB Web space, 1GB monthly data transfer (with a maximum file size of 0.25 MB). The service is advertisement supported and fails to provide added perks such as FTP access, although an online file manager is available. MySitePages - A feature-packed free hosting service, offering 150MB Web space, 2GB monthly data transfer, 1MySQL database, 5 free e-mail accounts and 5 FTP accounts. MySitePages also offers an easy-to-use Web site builder and allows users to create a blog, forum and photo gallery with minimal effort.
Hoste - A free Web hosting service offering 1GB storage space and 25GB data transfer per month (enough for the vast majority of Web sites). Hoste includes support for PHP5 and three MySQL databases. A free sub-domain is available here (yourname.hoste.com) or alternatively you can use an existing domain (yourname.com).
Viviti - This free Web site building service makes it easy to set up and maintain your own presence on the Internet. Viviti includes blogging capabilities and also boasts over 100 templates to choose from (so you can customise the look and feel of your pages). The intuitive "point, click, drop" method available here means creating pages is an effortless process.
hPage - A new and up-and-coming Web site creation service. hPage is the easy way to create your own online Web presence (especially if you have limited technical knowledge). Register and you can be creating a site within minutes. The service includes: 300MB storage space, a sub-domain (you.hpage.com), over 250 site templates, online editor, daily backup, and more.
Blog.com - A fun, free and simplistic blog hosting service. It is easy to register at blog.com and you can be running a blog site within minutes (and you needn't have great technical knowledge). Once registered, you can customise the look and feel of your blog, add images, and begin publishing content. If you wish to expand the functionality at a later date, Blog.com allows you to easily upgrade to a commercial package.
000webhost.com - A free, donation-based Web hosting service, offering 1500MB disk space, 100GB data transfer per month, PHP and MySQL support, FTP access, and even cPanel, a "back end" where you can manage all aspects of your account. Even better, no advertisements are displayed on sites hosted here (since their funding is entirely user-donated).
Weebly - Anyone can create a Web site with Weebly. No technical skills are required and you can be publishing online within minutes. Weebly allows you to create a blog, and re-arrange the content as a series of modules to create the designed look. The number of "drag and drop" elements at this service means it is perhaps the easiest place on the Web to create an online blog site.
Free Hosting from Heart Internet - Heart Internet(provider of domains and hosting) has a free Web space offer currently available, featuring 2.5GB of space, 100MB per month data transfer limit, 1000 mailboxes, unlimited e-mail forwarders, FTP access, graphical Web statistics. Commercial usage is permitted. No advertising of any kind is displayed by Heart Internet, so your pages will be free from third party clutter. (UK Only)
Yahoo! Geocities - The Internet's largest free Web space provider. Here, you will receive 15MB of Web space, along with a short URL resembling something similar to: "www.geocities.com/yourname". Beginners will find their online Web site creating tools useful and there's even an option to upload custom pages. However, direct FTP access is no longer supported here. This service is advert supported.
