At the Transport For London (TFL) site, you can claim a free ‘Baby on Board’ badge, suitable for mums-to-be when travelling on the Tube, train and bus network.
Since it can often be difficult to find a seat, these badges alert other passengers to your pregnancy, increasing the likelihood they’ll (hopefully) give up their spot.
Besides offering this free badge, the Transport for London site also provides a number of other helpful tips for travelling while pregnant or with a pushchair. In addition, details are available for wheelchair access, avoiding stairs, and accessibility if you suffer from sight or hearing loss.
Please note: The Baby on Board badges are available for pregnant women in the Greater London area, including the South East of England (commuting area).
To request your free badge, just complete the short form on the Transport for London website or telephone the advertised number. All free badges are delivered in plain, nondescript envelopes for discretion.
